Swegon offers air handlers with heat and energy recovery, demand control ventilation dampers with controls, attenuating transfer grilles and draft-free diffusers and grilles as ventilation solutions to enhance the energy savings and occupant comfort in your Passive House building project.
Passive House buildings require continuous ventilation and benefit from highly-efficient heat recovery air handlers that feature low energy consumption. Swegon’s GOLD RX Air Handling Unit is certified by third-party agencies in North America and Europe to give you confidence that your building’s ventilation system will perform as designed. GOLD always includes controls that are fully-functional when used alone, or when connected to a building management system. GOLD is our solution for projects designed to benefit from the centralized ventilation concept. For projects that benefit from decentralized ventilation strategies, Swegon offers CASA ventilation units.
More energy-savings and greater occupant comfort can be realized when demand-control ventilation (DCV) strategies are used in many buildings. Zone control provided by the REACT Control Damper will enable zones with three ventilation control modes: unoccupied mode for extra energy savings, occupied mode to meet code requirements and boost mode to increase the amount of air delivered to the zone. REACT Damper accessories also include standalone and networkable controls with sensors.
The elimination of ducts is a key strategy for saving air handler fan energy in Passive House buildings. Swegon offers a variety of sound-attenuating transfer grilles that allow for indirect ventilation, as air flows from zone to zone through interior walls and doors while maintaining occupant privacy.
Passive House occupants expect their buildings to be quiet, comfortable, and draft free. The CLA Compact Sound Attenuator is ideally suited for controlling system noise in the duct and crosstalk from nearby zones. Grille and diffuser selection is critical for minimizing energy-consuming duct pressure and preventing uncomfortable draft. Swegon’s KITE Plaque Diffuser, LOCKZONE Swirl Diffuser, GTH and SDW Sidewall Grilles provide your project with the right combination of performance and appearance.
